Parents, if you have not yet sent in troop dues or at least indicated that your son will be continuing for another year with the troop, you need to respond immediately. We are making up the roster for rechartering (which needs to be turned in next week) and need to know your status as soon as possible. If you cannot send dues payment on Tuesday please contact Jim Buchanan, David Rainey, Andrew Calhoun, Jim Hardman or Paul Cattaneo.

Scout Sunday is this week. Westminster will be observing Scout Sunday both at the 8:30 am service and the 11:00 am service. Ryan and Will will be helping to lead the services. Scouts and their families are asked to attend one of these services. It is a way of showing the Westminster congregation that we appreciate the opportunity the church has provided for our boys. After the 11:00 am service (at approximately 12:00 noon), the troop will be hosting coffee hour in Fellowship Hall. Families are asked to bring a plate of snacks (cookies, cheese/crackers, fruit, etc) to share with the congregation.

Please send or bring payments to the Troop meeting Tuesday Jan 17 but no later than Tuesday Jan 24.

We have 23 scouts registered for the Merit Badge Jamboree, to be held on Saturday, February 11 from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM at Hayfield Secondary School in Alexandria.

The file "Troop129MBJAssignments.xls" shows class assignments for each scout. Please check to see the classes you're in and be sure to complete the pre-requisites (file also attached) BEFORE you attend the Jamboree. All requirements for lunchtime badges must be completed before the Jamboree.

Scouts who have not yet paid should bring $20 to Mr. Conrad at the January 3 Troop Meeting, preferably as a check made out to Troop 129.

Counsellors for each badge are listed along with their email address. Please contact them if you have any questions about the badges you choose.
